What is your building's smart readiness level? How can energy efficiency and overall in-use performance be optimised? Can your building adapt to and work with the grid? Can the indoor environment be changed and adapted based on your building occupants' preferences and needs? How ready are you to assess your buildings’ capacity when it comes to smart-ready technology?

The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) is a policy initiative from the EU Commission under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) that measures your building’s ability to use smart technologies. These technologies support decarbonization and offer more comfortable and efficient indoor environments.

This webinar will take you through the history of the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI).

  • Definition of smart readiness in buildings.
  • Quick walkthrough from the first SRI Technical Study for the European Commission to the present.
  • What does the Commission Delegated Regulation 2020/2155 and Implementing Regulation 2020/2156 say?
  • Explanation of the implications the EPBD recast may have, emphasising the implementation pathways at the national level.

We will follow up with the SRI assessment. How it is done?

  • Bird’s eye on the rationale of the SRI assessment methodology and certificate.
  • Description of the user experience for assessors using the assessment package prepared by the SRI Support Team – technical domains, smart-ready services, functionality levels.
  • A snapshot of the free asynchronous training material developed by REHVA will be shared with all the participants.
  • A case study from the ventilation technical domain will be presented to showcase the flow of the calculation.

In the conclusion, the audience can ask questions.

Join us in listening to Pablo Carnero Melero, Technical and EU Project Officer at REHVA, and Mikael Börjesson, Competence and Sustainability Director at Swegon Group.

This webinar, hosted by Swegon Air Academy in collaboration with REHVA, is free to attend online.
